Frozen Summit Oolong (Dong Ding/Tung-Ting)

Frozen Summit Oolong is grown in Taiwan’s Tung Ting Mountains at an altitude of over 6000 feet. Known as Dong-Ding or Tung-Ting Oolong. Slow roasting sweetens it, imparting notes of caramel, sweet roasted barley, and brown sugar. Highly aromatic, this green Oolong has a striking floral scent reminiscent of honeysuckle and gardenia. Multiple Steepings brings out many different notes.
 
This is a wonderful tea for those wanting something a bit more refined in an oolong tea. The tea plants were brought to Taiwan from the Wuyi Mountains in China's Fujian Province about 150 years ago.
